Description

Scenario: Boxing2Fitness

Boxing has become popular as a form of fitness exercise.  The boxing studio called Boxing2Fitness offers services to both members and non-members. They run group classes, one to one training and the boxing equipment can be used by any individuals without booking any sessions as long as they pay for the entry on the day or sign up for the membership. The members also need to book to attend group sessions and one to one, but they do not pay as their membership fees cover these.

The studio requires a web site which will promote them publicly and allow the members and non-members to make bookings online. At present bookings are only possible in person and over the phone.

The trainers who run the classes and provide one to one training need to be able to create their own profile using the provided format. These would be available to everyone to view within the staff section and classes they run. The trainers would also like to receive feedback for their classes, so everyone who attends the classes will be able to leave feedback.

There is also a feature that allows all the users to report any issues with the gym. These reports need to have information about the user who reported the issue, the name of the equipment and the problem with it.

The managers need to be able to post information about group classes, when they run and who is running them. They are responsible for the gym overall and should have access to the reported issues. As they deal with the issues, they have to be able to indicate resolved/not resolved issues.  They also receive and respond to the contact forms. They would also have to see all the bookings in order to know the popularity of the classes.

The administrators have total control of the site.

Any additional features can be included if deemed necessary and appropriate for the web application. However, note that the site moderators should not be administrators with full control of the administration of the site.

The Report

The report needs to include the following:

  • Brief requirements analysis of the scenario
  • Documentation of the development of your web application
  • Evaluation of the software

Please note that the majority of the marks will be awarded for the explanations of the work done). You need to make sure that you explain in some detail what you have used to implement the functionalities (CMS modules) and if you have fully achieved it as intended. DO NOT provide step by step instructions of how to use Drupal.
